- 1992 - Missouri begins "assistive technology project" with federal grant
- 1993 - * AT Council established in state law
- 1995 - AT Lemon Law passed
- 1996 - TAP for Telephone established in state law
- 1997 - Disabled Access Tax Credit passed
- PowerUp Assistive Technology Conference and Expo first held - 1998 - AT Sales Tax Exemption for AT passed
(e.g. wheelchairs, scooters, stairway lifts, vehicles access, AAC, braille equipment, electronic enlarging.)
- ETC - short-term equipment loan program established - 1999 - IT Access requirement passed with AT Council to establish standards
- Medicaid coverage of AAC for adults began, hearing aid reimbursement was improved.
- Swap 'n Shop (equipment exchange program) established - 2000 * TAP expanded to internet, TAP for internet established

- 2007 MoAT designated as state Authorized User for National Instructional Materials Access Center (NIMAC) to support print disabled students who need accessible materials.
